What You Can Expect:
✿ Babies will gaze at objects/people 12-15 inches away from them
✿ Hearing is well-developed; gentle music is recommended
✿ Baby responds well to expressions and toush that relaxes them

Swab your baby's navel and clean the umbilical cord remains. Always ensure your baby sleeps on his/her back to avoid breathing complications.

2nd Month - A Strong Happy Baby!
What You Can Expect:
✿ Baby is able to lift his/her chest off the floor using forearms as support
✿ He/she would've recognized you enough to smile when touched or talked to
✿ Reacts to loud noises, gets startled and cries easily
✿ Muscles relax and twitch less
Baby Care & Development Tips:
Repeat your baby's name. His/her reaction will be different and it will make learning
easier. Your baby is alert when he/she is quiet. Try not to overexcite the baby; it will deprive him/her of sleep.

✿ Baby will reach for familiar objects or toys put in his/her hands

Try establishing a clear difference between night and daytime tu maintain d good sleeping pattern. Prop your baby up. He/she will take in different sights and sounds crucial to development.

✿ Reacts to his/her surroundings, increased sense of alertness

Say words/sounds to baby, encourage him/her to repeat it. This will develop language skills. Show/encourage baby to know where each sound come from to develop his/her reflexes.
